If I connect my CI20 to my Sony KDL32V4000 i get the message on the TV screen “n. Darstellbar” -> “can not display”.
The KDL32V4000 supports 1080i but not 1080p. However it would support 720p. Can I switch the CI20 to 720p? I run Debian on the CI20.March 12, 2015 at 12:15 pm #39547
Yes it is possible.
Are you familiar with kernel compilation?
This branch needs to be compiled with
instead of the default 1080p
p.s. we are working on a newer kernel (3.18) that makes it easier to switch the resolution without kernel compilation.March 13, 2015 at 6:51 am #39548
Thank you for this information.
No, I never compiled a kernel yet. Maybe now it’s time to start :>
Any idea when the new kernel (3.18) will be ready?March 13, 2015 at 3:01 pm #39549
Depending on what you wish to do with the board, you might be able to use the new kernel.
Some peripherals are not fully supported in the new kernel.
I would recommend not doing this without having serial access though. It is very easy to loose access to the board otherwise.
