missing alpha channel with the latest PVRTextool

    I am using the “save as legacy” option, after encoding my PNG texture which has an alpha channel.
    In Unity the inspector state that it is a PVRTC RGBA compressed texture but in the viewport and in the build, it fails to show/utilize the alpha channel.
    Is that a known issue, can I use textures with alpha channel in Unity 4?

    textures had no alpha because PNG does not support alpha channel only direct transparency which to other problems.

    Hi Royter,

    Did you figure out your issue? It doesn’t sound like there is a problem with PVRTexTool, but I’m not sure from your description. Does the alpha channel display correctly in PVRTexToolGUI?
