    Hi,

We are developing graphics engine for navigation software on WINDOWS CE 5/6 and would like to know if POWERVR SDK can be used for these platforms.

Appreciate for any input from you all.

    Thanks

    Hi Linh,

We discontinued support for WinCE 6 years ago and we do not have any package we can make available to you. Bear in mind that we do not distribute drivers for our customers platforms. Do you have OpenGL ES drivers on your platform? Which platform is it? OMAP?

    Regards.

    Carlos.

    Hi Carlos,

We are working a wide range of Windows CE 5.0/6.0 platforms for car navigation. Most of them do not have graphics driver for GLES. We are looking for GLES 1.1/2.0 library that can purely run on the CPU. Can POWERVR support that?

Besides, we came across 1 platform with GLES driver, HW spec is below:
    1. CPU: ARM SiRF, Cortex-A9
    2. GLES driver:
    a. GL_VENDOR Imagination Technologies
    GL_RENDERER PowerVR SGX 520
    GL_VERSION OpenGL ES-CM 1.1
    b. GL_VENDOR Imagination Technologies
    GL_RENDERER PowerVR SGX 520
    GL_VERSION OpenGL ES 2.0 build 1.7@901845

    Please advise.

    Hi Linh,

PowerVR is a GPU so no, we do not rasterize or have drivers for the CPU.
At least you have a platform with proper drivers 🙂 Let me look for one of our old WinCE6 SDKs for ARM. I’ll let you know if I find a package that I can share with you.

    Best regards.

    Carlos.

    Hi Carlos,

Are you able to give me one SDK to try out on WinCE 6 devices?

    Thanks

    Hi Linh,

I’ve got one SDK that I can give you. It is quite old and I do not know whether it will work on your platform, but you can give it a go. Could you request it through our ticketing system https://pvrsupport.imgtec.com/ or sending an email to devtech@imgtec.com and I will make it available to you.

    Regards.

    Carlos.

You can use the Vincent OpenGL ES 1.x implementation
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/ogl-es/
