    Hello,

I’m doing my bacherlor dissertation about 3D graphis in mobile phones. I have a doubt regarding the MBX family. Which are its members and which are the differences between them? It seems that there was a factsheet for every of them in the past, but I have been unable to reach them now.

    Thanks you very much,

    Javier

The POWERVR MBX family of graphics cores consists of two members: MBX and MBX Lite. These cores provide essentially identical functionality. MBX Lite is designed to draw less power per MHz and to use less silicon area, while MBX offers higher performance per MHz.

Both can be combined with a POWERVR VGP or VGP Lite vertex geometry processor to offload transformation and lighting (T&L) calculations from the CPU.
