    Hello,

I can’t find a clear sheet on the website that gives comparison between the different chips.

I would like to know what are the clear differences between the SGX540 & SGX545.

I would really appreciate if someone could help me 😉

    Thank you !

We only give out a lot of this type information under mutual NDA, usually with prospective customers, so it’s difficult for me to go into specifics I’m afraid.

With the SGX540 and SGX545 the main difference is in feature set (similarly for SGX530 and SGX535) – both cores support a lot of advanced features so that APIs like OpenGL ES 2 are supported. However, SGX545 is also capable of DirectX 9 and DirectX 10.1.

The differences between cores have to do with things like the features available, the number of shader processor units, texture units and versions of these and other parts available in the core. Unfortunately, I’m only allowed to talk about the details under NDA or other confidentiality agreement.

The factsheets give some information about the different cores, available here (you may need to log in to view them):

Unofficial information can be found in PowerVR’s Wikipedia entry, but I can’t vouch for the reliability of any of the data there.Gordon2011-10-14 12:23:45
