Why does an attempted TLB write fail to update the TLB on some MIPS Cores

    Because Core do not perform a machine check or TLB shutdown when attempting to create an entry in the TLB, a write to the TLB will appear to fail if there is already a TLB entry containing that value. To avoid this problem, flush the entire TLB before it is first used, and then check for duplicate entries using the TLBP (Probe TLB for Matching Entry) instruction.
